OIKа (Regional Executive Committee) Typolithography, Samarkand
The OIK (Regional Executive Committee) Typolithography was located in Samarkand, a city in southeastern Uzbekistan. From 1925 to 1930, Samarkand was the capital of the Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic. Within the hierarchy of the USSR’s political administration, the party organization was the basic level and was preceded by the district, city, regional, and republic committees. Regional committees were responsible to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of a republic.
