Oleksandr Vasil'ovich Vorona was a Soviet and Ukrainian monumental artist, graphic artist, painter and teacher. During the Second World War, Vorona served in the Red Army. From 1948 to 1951, the artist received his education from the L’vov State Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts. In 1954, he graduated from the Kharkov Art Institute (a.k.a. The Offset Printing Plant No. 1 was under the Press Committee at the Council of Ministries of the Ukrainian SSR. The printing plant was located at 51-a Frunze Boulevard (Kirilivska Street) in Kiev, the capital of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic. There is little published information about the history of this printer.

Mistetstvo (Art Publishing House) was founded in Kharkov (Ukrainian SSR) between 1932-'34. It moved to Kiev in 1935. The publisher's chief output comprised of posters, portraits, artistic monographs and sheet music.
